From the Driver's Seat to the Golf Course — This Is How Golfthing Was Born
Golfthing Clothing is more than a clothing brand. It is a story about opportunity, inspiration, and believing that you can create your own lane.
I started Golfthing Clothing in 2016 after an experience that changed the way I looked at success, wealth, and the world of golf.
At the time, I had the opportunity to work as the personal chauffeur for the President of Rolls-Royce. Being in that environment gave me my first real introduction to a world of luxury and wealth that I had never experienced before. It also introduced me to the game of golf and the culture surrounding it.
As I began paying closer attention to the golf lifestyle, I noticed the clothing, the style, and the way people expressed themselves on and off the course. I looked at the designs that were available at the time and started thinking:
“I can create something of my own.”
That thought became the beginning of Golfthing Clothing.
What started as an idea became a brand built around my own perspective of golf, fashion, lifestyle, and individuality. I wanted to create clothing that wasn't just about playing golf — it was about the lifestyle, the confidence, and the feeling that comes with being part of something bigger.
As a Black business owner, building Golfthing has also been about creating something I can be proud of and showing that inspiration can come from anywhere. Sometimes you can be in a position simply doing your job, but if you keep your eyes open, an opportunity to create something of your own can be right in front of you.
Golfthing Clothing represents that journey.
From the luxury world of Rolls-Royce, to my first introduction to golf, to creating my own clothing brand — Golfthing is my story.
